Top dog walking tips: If the dog walker picks your dog up and drops them off at home, be sure to give them a key to your house or apartment. Let them know where to find the collar or harness, lead, treats, poop bags and anything else they may need for the walk. Provide the dog walker with a summary of your dog's behaviour in certain situations (e.g. when encountering strangers, male or female dogs, bicycles …) and - very important! – share any cues your dog knows. Make precise agreements about where and how long to walk, whether the dog can be off lead and where, whether any training is to be done with them and anything else that may be of importance to you or your pooch.
